How Many Days Does It Take to Earn an iPhone 16 Pro? A Look at Russia and Other Countries.
Analysts from Picodi have recently revealed how long it takes for residents of various countries to earn enough money to buy the new iPhone 16 Pro (128 GB).

To find out, they compared the price of the smartphone with average salaries in different regions. Russia ranks seventh on the "unfavorable" list, where people would need to work 42 days, saving their entire income, to afford the device.

The study considered that Russian retailers have priced the flagship phone at 154,990 rubles, which is more expensive than the announced $999 price at the product launch. That price is only available in a few countries like the U.S., while others add local taxes.

For the calculations, analysts used the average salary in Russia after income tax, which stands at 77,556 rubles.

Interestingly, compared to last year’s index, the number of workdays needed in Russia has decreased by 4.3 days. In 2023, it took 46.3 days to afford a new iPhone.

The figures for previous years were: 39.7 days in 2022, 42.1 days in 2021, and 47.5 days in 2020.

Turkey showed the worst result this year, with citizens needing to work 72.9 days to buy the iPhone 16 Pro. The Philippines and Brazil are close behind, with 68.8 and 68.6 days, respectively.

On the flip side, Switzerland leads the ranking, where it takes just four days of work to afford the new smartphone.
